Undergraduate Program Teaching Objectives and Program Outcomes

Our Physics Undergraduate Program, taught 100% in English, provides students with a strong mathematical and theoretical foundation while honing experimental competencies in modern laboratories supported by IZTECH’s advanced research facilities. Our program prepares graduates for academia and the business world not only as physicists but also as versatile individuals capable of modeling complex problems, embracing interdisciplinary work, and possessing ethical values.

Accordingly, the IZTECH Physics Department aims to cultivate scientists with a deep understanding of the fundamental laws of nature, advanced analytical thinking, and technological innovation through its education and research activities conducted in accordance with universal scientific standards. Our department has adopted a competency-based education model aligned with the Bologna Process and the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ) standards.

Below, the Program Teaching Objectives (the profiles we aim for our graduates to achieve in their careers) and Program Outcomes (the knowledge and skills we promise to provide our students with upon graduation), which form the core philosophy of our Physics Undergraduate Program, are detailed.

Teaching Objectives

  1. Scientific Research and Academic Careers

Our graduates can begin their academic careers by pursuing master’s and doctoral programs, working as faculty members, lecturers, or researchers at universities or research institutes.

  1. Industrial Research and Development (R&D)

Our graduates can participate in research and development projects at high-technology companies or R&D centers, contributing to the development of new technologies and products.

  1. Education and Training

Our graduates can work as physics teachers in educational institutions, effectively transferring physics knowledge to the next generation.

  1. Applied Physics and Engineering

Our graduates can find employment opportunities in applied physics and engineering, specializing in solving practical problems and introducing technological innovations.

  1. Consultancy Services

Our graduates can offer consulting services in fields such as finance, information technology, and consulting, distinguished by their data analysis, modeling, and problem-solving skills.

  1. Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Our graduates can use their physics knowledge to establish their own start-up companies or advance their entrepreneurial careers by providing innovative solutions to existing businesses.
